Identifying and switching between Runtime versions
- Both SDK and PDK can be installed on your system. Only one version of the ClearImage runtime can be active at any point in time 3
- Start the Inlite Control Center from Start -> Programs -> ClearImage
- Select Versions Tab. See Activate Version for currently active version
- To activate PDK. Click Active Production Version and selected desired version
- To activate SDK. Click Active Development Version and selected desired version
- Restart you application or Web Site
- Notes:
- 1 Workstation licenses are limited to 5 pages-per-minute, when used on Windows Server/VM/Cloud
and 25 pages-per-minute, when used on Windows 7, 8, 10. A page is an image in a single-image file (JPG, BMP, PNG, etc.) or a single page in a TIFF or PDF file.
- 2 ClearImage SDK operates in one of these modes:
- Evaluation Mode. All functionality (except WebAPI) is licensed without any limitations. Mode is in effect for the first 60 days after installation of ClearImage on a specific computer (unless extended at Inlite's discretion)
- Development Mode. All functionality (except WebAPI) is licensed. This mode require periodic user interaction and therefore does not support unattended operations (like a Windows Service or a Web Services).
Mode is in effect after Evaluation mode has expired.
- 3 Multiple versions of both ClearImage PDK and SDK can be installed at the same time. Applications locate runtime based on the following rules:
- ClearImage COM (ClearImage.dll or ClearImage.x64.dll)
- The active COM version identified in the Registered COM section on the Versions Tab of Inlite Control Center
- The Registration-free COM should be located in application's folder
- For Java application, the runtime should be located using these rules
- ClearImage .NET (ClearImageNet.70.dll)
- If assembly installed in the GAC the version identified in ClearImageNet in GAC section on Versions Tab of Inlite Control Center is loaded.
- If assembly is removed from the GAC, the assembly is loaded according to these rules.
Q: Why I am getting error message "Use of unlicensed function ..."?
A: You code is calling methods for which a license not registered on this system. The message text typically identifies this method. To eliminate these messages purchase and register the required runtime license or remove the calls to the unlicensed functions from your source code.
Q: How to select the right TBR Code?

Q: Do I need Server or Workstation license?
A: Server licenses enable you to use the engines on a Windows Server, Virtual Machine or Cloud installations. If your application is used only on a computer running Windows 7, 8, 10 and process less than 25 pages/minute purchase a Workstation license. When used on Windows Server/VM/Cloud, Workstation licenses can process up to 5 pages/minute, whereas Server licenses offer unlimited performance.
